About me

Growing up in subsidized housing gave me a deep understanding into what home ownership really means.

It means stability, pride, financial education and can provide generational wealth.

I bought my first home in Toronto at age 23, something I never thought possible. Within a few years I was able to help my mom buy her first condo at age 50 and worked hard at creating a better life for my family.

Since then I have helped over 100+ families purchase over 65 million worth of real estate and propelled my clients towards a better life.

Now, after making the move to Muskoka, for a life close to nature and immersed in a compassionate community, I hope I can have that same impact that I have in Toronto by creating stability, education and pride in my clients.

Let’s take the intimidation out of real estate.

FAQS

  • This really varies case by case on the risk tolerance and goals someone may want to achieve. Variable rates are often times lower than fixed rates but are susceptible to Bank of Canada rate adjustments. Meanwhile Fixed Rates are typically considered a lot more stable as you have the same payments during the course of your term. There are many pros vs cons for both products, with a lot of variations for both offerings. When deciding on which one to take it is important to assess your short, medium and long term goals.

  • There are no hidden fees when working with a realtor. If you are a buyer and a Realtor is representing you - the seller pays the commissions. Realtor are working in your best interest and have fiduciary duties to uphold.

  • In many cases this choice will vary, it depends on many factors; one of them would be the market environment. When we are in a Buyers market (more listings available, more listings negotiable) vs a Sellers markets (high demand, limited inventory). If we are in a buyer’s market - listing the property would have to be done very strategically to stand out from the crowd. If we are in a seller’s market - typically there is a lot more demand and listing during this time would be more optimal.

Secondly would be the buying process - for some this process takes much longer than others. Keeping both these factors in mind will help you decide on which to prioritize first.

  • Your Credit score surely does impact your rates but not as much as it sounds. The Beacon score will allow the borrower to gain access to more favourable rates however the credit history accompanied with the score has more weight on it. All the Credit cards, loans, lines of credit - are called Trade lines. Lenders will look at the repayment history, any defaults in payments, max utilization and total debts owning. This information would be found on your Equifax report, a consumer version is available on their site.
